We recommend that you schedule full-service gutter cleaning every twelve months. The reason for this is that your gutters won’t just become ugly if they don’t get the attention they need… they might stop working altogether, too! You see, gutters can easily catch large pieces of debris. The more of this debris there is, the more likely it is that your gutters will become completely clogged. This will result in rainwater being unable to channel downwards, and obviously, you don’t want this. Leave it to us to prevent this from happening. As you’ve already read, our gutter cleaning services remove debris from your gutters so they don’t overflow. However, you might be curious why these overflows are so awful in the first place. Sure, they can cause gutter stripes to appear, but are there any other negative effects? Absolutely. When gutters overflow, that water has to go somewhere. And in many cases, that “somewhere” is your roof. Allow rainwater to collect on your roof for too long, and you can actually wind up with roof damage! We find that pressure washing rain gutters isn’t the best way to make them clean. That’s because high-pressure water can actually damage your gutters! We will use gentler techniques that are better suited for the work during your appointment.
There are two main ways we clean your gutters. The first is brushing their surfaces to wash away dirt. The second is removing large pieces of debris by hand. We use both of these methods during every gutter cleaning appointment that we tackle.
It’s a good idea to have your gutters cleaned at the end of autumn. That way, any collections of leaves can be removed inside of your gutters. However, if it’s been over a year since your gutters were last cleaned, we recommend scheduling an appointment ASAP instead!
